Virginia Wanjiru

Virginia Wanjiru is an Applied Digital Literacy Instructor at Angaza Center, dedicated to bridging the digital divide and empowering young people in rural African secondary schools with critical technology skills. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology (Business Intelligence Option) from Strathmore University and brings practical industry experience in software development, data analysis, and business intelligence. Her professional background includes developing data infrastructure and visualizations across agriculture, education, and healthcare sectors work that directly supports sustainable development goals in quality education, decent work and economic growth, and reduced inequalities.
As an ADL Instructor, Virginia delivers interactive training in data science, data engineering, and software engineering, equipping students with the digital literacy necessary for economic and social prosperity. She is passionate about mentoring students to develop not only technical competencies but also problem-solving abilities and an entrepreneurial mindset that will enable them to participate meaningfully in the digital economy. Through her commitment to education and technology access, Virginia contributes to Angaza Center’s mission of creating pathways out of poverty and fostering inclusive, sustainable development for underserved communities across Africa.
